Navigating special education support for your child can feel challenging and confusing. At the end of the day, we ALL want your child to experience success and for you as a parent to feel seen, heard, and know that your child is getting the support that they need. When you (the parent/guardian) disagree with the decision that the school team has made for special education eligibility, we partner with you and your child’s school team to provide a second opinion at no cost to you. If you are interested in partnering or learning more, please contact us and we can explain the process and how we partner with families across Ohio.

If you are interested in a less comprehensive evaluation but are curious if there are phonological processing deficits present, a Dyslexia Screening may be helpful. During this assessment, factors of phonological processing will be examined, alongside a brief examination of reading and spelling skills. This is not sufficient in providing an official diagnosis of Dyslexia; however, this can provide a good starting point in determining if a comprehensive evaluation is warranted. Should you start with a screening and then later decide to pursue a comprehensive psychoeducational evaluation, the comprehensive evaluation will be prorated to the amount spent on the Screening.

In a university setting, college students with disabilities, or those who suspect they have a disability, must provide documentation from a qualified professional in order to receive accommodations. We conduct thorough evaluations to assess the challenges the student is facing and identify the appropriate accommodations and supports. Additionally, we offer evaluations to confirm diagnoses for high-stakes tests like the ACT, SAT, GRE, and MCAT, ensuring students can access necessary accommodations during these exams.

Being a parent is one of the most rewarding, yet trying experiences. I take great pride in partnering with parents to help provide techniques and strategies to help with behavior management, emotional regulation, establishing routines, preparing for transitions, addressing school and learning concerns, and more.
