ADHD

What is Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)?

Everybody can have difficulty sitting still, paying attention, or thinking about what they’re doing before they do it. However, for some, the problems are so significant and persistent that they interfere with every aspect of their life: home, academic, social, and work. ADHD is a neurodevelopment disorder with clinically significant levels of inattention, hyperactivity, or both, which is believed to impact approximately 11% of the school-age population. Research suggests that almost 3/4 of the total population of individuals who are diagnosed with ADHD continue to display symptoms into adulthood.
